There's No Word In Dogese for "Pace Yourself"
Maia and Kia, yesterday morning, waiting for me to "release" them and let them out of the truck
to go for a run in East Canyon.
At this time, they were poised and excited, desperate to run and play and jump in the creek.
Eleven miles later, the excitement had worn off, as well as any excess movement on their parts :)
That's the bad thing about being a dog - nobody can tell you "hey, take it easy - we're gonna be
running for two hours!" Of course, the GOOD thing about being a dog is that you forget about
how bad it feels before the next time.
But that takes a while; all day yesterday (and still this morning) neither dog was moving except
to eat or eliminate :)
